1/22/12

Water temp: 60-65

Lake level: 30+ ft. Low

Bass:  Well all I can tell you is WOW.....I took a gentleman by the name of Jim Brooks from Pennsylvania out for 3 days and the first 2 days were a little less than average and then the third day was undescribable.  We started on a spot that was sort of slow and then went to a second spot and had the mother lode of Falcon Style bass on it.  Jim caught a 10, 9, 2-8's, 3-7's, 3-6's, and 30-35 more between 2-5lbs.  His partner Chris couldn't make the trip due to an illness,  I sure bet he wishes he had made it.  Our best five wound up to be 43 1/2lbs.  Such beautiful weather and a trip to remember forever, that is my goal when I take my clients fishing.  I still have a few available spots for the spring left so if you want a chance at a day like this just give me a call.

Fishing has been spotty but we are having some really great days.  The fish are scattered from 3-25 ft.  The best bite has been the Ezee Jig in wat/red flash and a deep diving crankbait in shad patterns.  It won't be long before this next full moon comes and lots of spawning will be going on.  Even if you come down without hiring a guide, you always have a chance at lunker on Falcon.

Thanks for your time and interest,

Good luck fishing,

Dan Schoonveld
